The Streaks Launch Event at 3daysofdesign, Copenhagen

Celebrating The Streaks Launch at 3daysofdesign

On a balmy June evening, Bankston held an exclusive cocktail event to officially launch The Streaks during Copenhagen’s 3daysofdesign festival. Located within a cosmopolitan corner near Amagertorv square, the exhibition space showcased Bankston’s spirited collection of architectural hardware designed in collaboration with Sydney’s YSG Studio. Comprising of superbly crafted timber door levers, pulls and joinery pieces with banding in alternating natural tones, complemented by an exclusive bronze range, the collection is now available globally.

Bold, cheeky and equally striking, The Streaks is a reminder that great design is not just about form and function, but discovery too.Ā Guests including prominent interior design professionals and designers such as Julien Sebban from Paris’ architectural and design studio Uchronia, plus international editorial including (list x3 major publications) to name a few, took great pleasure in interacting with the playful pieces mounted upon carpet-clad hand-made display units. Encouraging this sentiment, trays of a custom cocktail, the streaky sour, floated about, keeping spirits high. Australian lamingtons plus lobster and kimchi rolls satisfied both sweet and salty appetites, resulting in guests casually perching upon an eight-metre snake beanbag and spilling outdoors to savour the evening until close.

Raising good vibrations, DJ Barbara Frey spun records while guests sipped custom streaky cocktails, adding a relaxed party energy to the evening. YSG’s director, Yasmine Ghoniem, together with Bankston’s Co-CEOs Steve and Emily Bradley, Ā plus their team were on hand to welcome guests and share the story behind the collection. Visitors left with limited-edition vinyls created for the launch, a playful nod to the collection’s inspiration. Bold, cheeky and equally striking, The Streaks is a reminder that great design is not just about form and function, but discovery too.

The Streaks by YSG is now available globally.
